FDM Technology

  • Clearly visible layer lines on the surface of the print
  • High strength when using engineering-grade materials
  • Heat resistance ranging from 45 to 175 degrees Celsius, depending on the material
  • Thermoplastics: PLA, ABS, ABS-ESD7, PET, PC-ABS, PA, PA-CF, XT-CF, PEEK
  • Most commonly used in rapid prototyping

SLA Technology

  • Very high surface smoothness
  • Prints made from standard materials are relatively brittle and not resistant to prolonged UV exposure
  • Heat resistance ranging from 50 to 290 degrees Celsius, depending on the selected resin
  • Materials: acrylic resins, ceramic-filled resins

SLS Technology

  • Uniform, textured surface
  • High mechanical strength with nearly isotropic properties
  • Heat resistance up to 110 degrees Celsius
  • Polyamide powders: PA12, PA12-GF, TPU

CJP Technology (ColorJet Printing)

  • Rough print surface
  • Relatively low mechanical strength – dependent on the type of post-processing applied
  • Full CMYK color printing capability (multiple colors on a single model)
  • Material: VisiJet PXL gypsum powder

PolyJet Technology

  • Very smooth surface – low layer height
  • Isotropic mechanical properties
  • Full CMYK color printing capability (multiple colors on a single model)
  • Materials (resins): VeroWhite, Agilus

DMLS Technology

  • High surface roughness
  • Very high mechanical strength
  • High temperature resistance – specific to the selected metal
  • Materials (metals): Steel, Aluminum, Titanium
